The freeform Persian agate is the exposed rock layer on the icefield—each piece marked by the carving of storms, edges sharp yet rounded, like wounds in the frozen ground that slowly crack and heal through the long winter; the baroque toothpick beads with center holes are the occasional mineral fragments revealed on the icefield's surface—irregular, imperfect, yet carrying the most authentic natural imprint, like an ancient shell left behind after a glacier retreated; the Thai silver cube spacers are like snow repeatedly illuminated by moonlight on the icefield—cool and quiet, like silver fissures that draw light deep into the earth in the midst of deep colors.
